Circuit Bench Retirement: Curl

His Honour Judge Philip Curl retires as a Circuit Judge with effect from 28 March 2015.

His Honour Judge Curl (67) was called to the Bar (G) in 1970. He was appointed an Assistant Recorder in 1991, a Recorder in 1995 and a Circuit Judge in 1996. He was appointed the Designated Family Judge for Norwich from 1998 to 2007 and authorised to sit as a s.9 High Court Judge (Family) from 1998. He was appointed a Legal Member of the Mental Health Review Tribunal (Restricted Patients Panel) in 2002 (now known as Judge of the First Tier Tribunal (Health Education and Social Care Chamber)).
