Circuit Bench Retirement: Bowers

His Honour Judge Peter Hammond Bowers retires as a Circuit Judge with effect from 9 June 2015.

His Honour Judge Bowers (69) was admitted as a Solicitor in 1966 and called to the Bar (I) in 1972. He was appointed an Assistant Recorder in 1984, a Recorder in 1989, a Circuit Judge in 1995, Designated Civil Judge for Hull from 1997 to 2000 and a Legal Member of the Restricted Patients Panel in 2004 (now known as Judge of the First Tier Tribunal (Health, Education and Social Care Chamber)). He was appointed the Designated Civil Judge for Teesside from 2008 to 2012.
