His Honour Judge Anthony Ronald Louis Ansell retires as a Circuit Judge with effect from 10 September 2016.

His Honour Judge Ansell (70) was called to the Bar (G) in 1968 and admitted as a Solicitor in 1980. He was appointed an Assistant Recorder in 1987, a Recorder in 1991, a Circuit Judge in 1995 and a Tutor Judge for the Judicial Studies Board (civil, family and human rights courses) in 1999. He was appointed a Judge of the Employment Appeal Tribunal in 2002. He was a Member of the Sentencing Advisory Panel from 2005 to 2010 and appointed a Deputy High Court Judge (Family Division) in 2009.
