Chief Bankruptcy Registrar Appointment: Briggs

The Queen has appointed Nicholas Norman Briggs to be Chief Bankruptcy Registrar on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lidington MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Royal Courts of Justice, London with effect from Monday 14 August 2017.

Notes to editors

Nicholas Norman Briggs, aged 53, will be known as Chief Bankruptcy Registrar Briggs. He was called to the Bar (L) in 1994, he was appointed as a Deputy Bankruptcy Registrar in 2007 and as a Registrar in Bankruptcy of the High Court in 2015.
