Judge Advocate Michael Robert Elsom retires as a Judge Advocate with effect from 10 September 2016.

Judge Advocate Elsom (66) was called to the Bar (I) in 1972. He was appointed an Assistant Recorder in 1998, a Recorder in 2000 and a Judge Advocate in 2001. He was appointed a part-time Chairman of the Pensions Appeal Tribunal in 2001 (now known as Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (War Pensions and Armed Forces Compensation)) and Assistant Judge Advocate General in 2002.
