Appointment of the President of the Valuation Tribunal for England: Garland

The Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Elizabeth Truss MP, has appointed Gary John Richard Garland as the President of the Valuation Tribunal for England.

He will be based in London, with effect from 12 September 2016 on a salaried part-time working basis of 60% for a period of four years.

Notes to editors

Gary John Richard Garland, aged 58, will be known as Mr Garland. He was called to the Bar (I) in 1989. He served as an Asylum Support Adjudicator between 2001 and 2003 and was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Court) in 2005.
