Appointment of a Salaried Judge of the Upper Tribunal: Bruce

HM The Queen has appointed Gaenor Bruce to be a Salaried Judge of the Upper Tribunal on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Chris Grayling MP and the Senior President of Tribunals, the Right Honourable Lord Justice Sullivan.

The Senior President of Tribunals has assigned her to the Immigration and Asylum Chamber with effect from 7 September 2015, on a salaried part-time working basis (80%).

Gaenor Bruce, aged 43, will be known as Upper Tribunal Judge Bruce. She was called to the Bar (M) in 1997. She was appointed as a Fee-paid Immigration Judge of the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal (now known as Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Immigration and Asylum Chamber) in 2006, and as a Fee-paid Deputy Upper Tribunal Judge, Immigration and Asylum Chamber, in 2012.
