Appointment of a Circuit Judge – Gittins

The Queen has appointed Timothy James Gittins to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Michael Gove MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Newcastle Upon Tyne Combined Court Centre with effect from 18 August 2015.

Timothy James Gittins, aged 47, will be known as His Honour Judge Gittins. He was called to the Bar (M) in 1990. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2008.
