Appointment as Salaried Principal Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Property Chamber (Land Registration)

The Senior President of Tribunals, the Right Honourable Lord Justice Sullivan, has appointed Elizabeth Jane Cooke as Salaried Principal Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Property Chamber, to exercise the Land Registration jurisdiction within that Chamber, and as a Deputy Judge of the Upper Tribunal, assigned to the Tax and Chancery Chamber. She will be based at Alfred Place in London with effect from 1 June 2015.

Professor Elizabeth Jane Cooke, aged 52, will be known as Tribunal Judge Cooke. She was admitted as a Solicitor in 1988. She was appointed as a Recorder in 2009 and was authorised to sit as a Deputy High Court Judge in the Administrative Court under Section 9(1) of the Senior Courts Act 1981 in 2013.
