Appointment as a Salaried Judge of the First-tier Tribunal: Pickup

The Senior President of Tribunals, the Right Honourable Sir Ernest Ryder, has appointed David Michael Walker Pickup as a salaried Judge of the First-tier Tribunal assigned to the Immigration and Asylum Chamber.

He will be based in Manchester with effect from 29 January 2018.

David Michael Walker Pickup, aged 59, was called to the Bar (I) in 1984. He was appointed as a fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Immigration and Asylum Chamber in 2006, as a fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Health, Education and Social Care Chamber in 2007 and as a Deputy Judge of the Upper Tribunal, Immigration and Asylum Chamber in 2012.
