Appointment as a Salaried Judge of the First-tier Tribunal: Buchanan

The Senior President of Tribunals, the Right Honourable Sir Ernest Ryder, has appointed Stuart Peter James Buchanan as a salaried Judge of the First-tier Tribunal assigned to the Immigration and Asylum Chamber.

He will be based in Glasgow with effect from 26 March 2018.

Stuart Peter James Buchanan, aged 55, was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 2001 when he called to the Scottish Bar. He was appointed as fee-paid Adjudicator in the Immigration Appellate Authority (now known as a fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Immigration and Asylum Chamber) in 2002.
