Statement from the Judicial Communications Office: Publication of Parliamentary Reports

The following Parliamentary Reports were published on 26 July 2007.

  • House of Lords Select Committee on the Constitution report on the relationship between the executive, the judiciary and parliament
  • House of Commons Constitutional Affairs Committee report on the creation of the Ministry of Justice

The Lord Chief Justice, Lord Phillips of Worth Matravers, has said: "We welcome the reports and the detailed analysis that they provide.  They will require careful consideration and the judiciary will respond in due course."
