“The Lord Chancellor and Lord Chief Justice have considered the final report of the Review Body in the case of Dr Dwivedi, a fee paid Medically Qualified Panel Member, to the Appeals Service.

The Review Body found that Dr Dwivedi’s conduct, which resulted in a warning being issued by the General Medical Council, was not compatible with the high standards expected of all judicial office holders.

In light of this and the potential affect on the public’s confidence in the judiciary the Lord Chief Justice and Lord Chancellor have decided that Dr Dwivedi should be removed from his judicial position."
