Conduct and complaints
The Lord Chancellor and the Lord Chief Justice believe that the public deserves and expects the highest standards of conduct from those who hold judicial office. All judicial office holders agree to adhere to a strict code of conduct.
The Office of Judicial Complaints (OJC), created on 3 April 2006, seeks to ensure that all judicial disciplinary issues are dealt with consistently, fairly and efficiently.
The OJC is an associated office of the Ministry of Justice (MoJ). Its status, governance and operational objectives were set out in a Memorandum of Understanding between the DCA, the Judicial Office and the OJC.
If you have a complaint about the OJC you should contact the Judicial Appointments and Conduct Ombudsman.
