Senior Liaison Judge for Diversity

Mrs Justice Dobbs

Mrs Justice Dobbs is the Senior Liaison Judge for Diversity. She is also Director of International Training at the Judicial College. She was appointed to the High Court in October 2004 and was the first person from a BME background to be appointed to the senior judiciary.

In her role as Senior Liaison Judge for Diversity, Mrs Justice Dobbs works closely with those responsible for diversity in the Judicial Office, Ministry of Justice, Judicial Appointments Commission, Law Society, the Bar and ILEX. She gives talks and lectures at schools, colleges and universities. She hosts law students and young lawyers, affording them the opportunity to sit in to watch court proceedings. She also mentors and supports many students on a one to one basis. She also works closely with specialist organisations concerned with equality and diversity.
