Guidance produced by the FJC
The FJC has produced guidance for people involved in cases going through the family courts as the courts will expect individuals to have considered mediation and other forms of dispute resolution before asking for a court order.
The FJC, in conjunction with the Family Mediation Council, has produced guidance for judges, magistrates and legal advisers which sets out the fundamental principles of independent family mediation by which all recognised family mediators must abide.
Families and Relationships Green Paper
In January 2010 the Department for Children Schools and Families (DCSF) published a green paper setting out a range of measures to support families. The FJC responded to the Consultation in April 2010.
Papers commissioned by the FJC
In 2005 Vicky Leach, of the children's charity NCH, produced a paper setting out the relationship between the FJC and family mediation and highlighting some of the challenges that require consideration and action.
FJC Committees
